LOL @ Gumby
I have tried that fencing too... it is much easier if you use a post digger, and stay away from the barbed wire!
i have been bitten by the fencing bug...anyone else every try this sport?

i am seeing something interesting going on the board here.
if a poster, especially, a new one says something considered unpopular around here, and another poster refutes or disagrees, some people suggest that we're not being kind or welcoming to new ones or to those that have a differing view.
i don't think that this is what we're collectively trying to tell a person that doesn't share the majority viewpoint.
As a great American patriot once said:
"I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"
I believe we can all disagree--"agreeably". After what most of us have come through---why not?
.
please be reminded of this alternative now that the watchtower society has brought horrible reproach upon god's good name.

...thanks for my chuckle of the day, guys.
...and Shamus, could you please hand me one of those beers?
yeah.
carrie (aztec) made me get up at this ungodly early hour of the morning (1 pm.
) to post here.
welcome to the forum, Mindles

since it's the weekend, i'm thinking of trying some new drinks.
i'll be in new york city on sunday, too, so i want to know what you enjoy so that i can think of you while i'm away.

i'm not a christian.
all the same, i do believe there are some very good biblical principles to live by.
here's a good one: .
I tend to agree with Euphamism,
why can we not be right and do right. The fact that we are no longer labeled as Jehovahs Witnesses, does not mean that we are without the ability to think and reason for ourselves; make our own decisions and be progressive, caring individuals.
a long discussion with my a sister a full time pioneer who now stated that since my father, mother and myself no longer have faith in the org but only to god is spirtiualy weak and she has decided not to call us any more.
i read several scriptures about neglecting your father and mother but it is the org's word that came first.
i read to her many scriptures on making sure your family is well taken care of but to no avail she quoted a magazine..... my sister had decided not to have children believing the end is near but it never came when the org told her it would come.
I am very sorry to hear your dilema. It is all the same JW brainwash.
I hope your sister will come to her senses before it is too late. There will come a time when she will regret her actions.

jw's are all supposed to be marked by the love they have for one another.
the love is called a great one because it is a "self-sacrificing"one.
theoretically, a witness would simply die for another witness because of the brotherhood---no questions asked.
In theory and words; Yes.
Fortunately for me ( or some other poor sucker) it was never put to the test!
i don't know if anyone noticed since i'm not one of the premier posters, but i've been gone for several weeks.
unfortunately, the reason is i was in a very bad car accident.
i can't give too many details, because i don't want to be identified, but my car was hit by a semi truck on a major freeway during rush hour.
welcome back happyout
You are lucky to be alive. These things happen. Last year a similar accident happend to me; I was told I survived because the care was a Volvo. The wreck had to be flat bedded to be removed. That afternoon I bought the identical car.
I went home and hugged my wife and kids. You never know when your time is up, and this experience just makes us appreciate life and our loved ones more.
